Officers Exchange Night - Secretary Carlin's Poem "says it all"!

I decided that the best way to capture the essence of last night's Officer's Exchange Night was to do so in verse.  (check out all the photos from the event in the "photo album" tab above).  So here you go:

 

It’s the Rotary Party Of which we all rave, It was hosted by Cathy And her husband Dave	We can’t miss Miss Cindy For working with Picnic, And Membership Dan For our membership uptick
The cooking crew served us Some crab legs and steak, The dessert table featured John Johnson’s wife’s cake	There was candy for Rod Who goes out each week, Delivering backpacks ‘Cross mountain and creek
The setting was perfect With a tent to give shade, Bring your ten bucks If you haven’t yet paid	She gave out two more To absentee guests, They were Blood-Drive-Chair Tom And Program-Chair Wes.
Our president doled out Boxes of candy, The first of which went To fund-raiser Andy	There may have been others That I may have missed, I forgot to take notes Or jot down a list.
Carlin got one for His newsletter prose, It’s not all that good, But that’s how it goes	Thank you to Steph For a job very well done, And best wishes to Beth For a new year of fun
There was one for Jim Kan For getting our food, For counting our money She lauded Sara Darooge	Others might think that We’re silly or strange, But no club has a better Officer’s Exchange!
