This year's Venison for Manna program came to a close with the presenation of a $500 Gift Certificate to Jay's Sporting Goods to Lynn Pearson from Harbor Springs. The program, which encourages hunters to donate a portion of thier harvest to the Manna Food Project generated over 2,100 lbs of vension this year and has generated over 11 tons of meat since the program started. The protein is distributed to over 35 food pantries and meal programs from Mackinaw City to Mancelona. Special thanks to our area processors that serve as the collection point for the program.
